Betty's baking #15

I have never been one to fall for product advertisments. Lately I find myself curious to try products after watching commercials. I tend to watch infomercials and then research reviews on their items which always come back with bad ratings. Thankfully I haven't fallen for anything to expensive - only gum or toothpaste.

But after watching the Betty Crocker Warm Delights commercial I just couldn't take my mind off the sight of gooey chocolateness. Women out there everywhere know what I mean!

So I went out and purchased both the Fudge Brownie and Chocolate Chip Cookie to do a taste test. I actually had the Fudge Brownie the other night and decided to finish off my taste test tonight with the cookie one. Both were prepared the same way and both get an S for STRANGE in the way it is prepared. You just add a few drops of water, mix it up and pop it in the microwave for 45 seconds.

The Fudge Brownie one reminded me of the brownies you get in TV dinners. I give it a B for taste as it didn't taste exactly the way I thought it would by the commercial. But it wasn't bad either, I would have it again. The Cookie one was another story. I should have known that when I did the traditional cookie dough spoon taste and thought it was funky that after it was microwaved it wouldn't be all that different. I was right. It was really baked, yet it still tasted like it wasn't cooked right. It was blah. I give it a C-.

So there you go girls! :)

P.S. I ate my C- treat while watching August Rush. I highly recommend it. Keri Russell is starting to become a fave of mine.
