I fell in love with the house of architect Andrea Lenardin Madden which was illustrated in the March08 issue of Domino. Discovering that she also did the Sprinkles cupcake cafe in LA I wanted to know more about this creative lady. So I googled and researched everything I could find about this young architect. Her website, http://almproject.com/, is a great start but I found that some of her outlined projects needed to be researched in order to understand why in the world she had floating photos of 2x3 wood shoes on her website.
Although I have a favorite female artist, Dorothea Tanning, I never thought of having a favorite female architect. Now I do. I loooooooove her modernism and clean lines and devotion to the simple life. If I had lots of $ I would have her do my future home.
