Open my heart to new people #36

As some people know I was born with a congenital heart defect and had open heart surgery before my 2nd birthday. With all the years of going to hospitals and doctor visits I never met anyone with a congenital heart defect (that I know of) as an adult and today I met a group of people with them. All of them had different defects.

I met them at the Philadelphia Museum of Art to do a tour of art with heart as a theme. The first painting, a portrait of Philadelphia surgeon Dr. Eakins, was of an open chest surgery. It was very emotional, as was meeting people similar to me.
